Pragelato Sestriere Italy

Ok, I've been on 20+ ski holidays. Now skiing without children, so may alter what you take from thos review.

I've done Ski Esprit, Mark Warner and Nelson in my time. Club Med, surpassed them all.
I'm currently at the resort. It's a tad big and a tad chaotic, but if you can see beyond that, its actually fab.

Check In wasn't the smoothest but got sorted (transfer from Milan Malpensa was 2.5 hours but not an issue). Information in general was scanty but if you are experienced and have skied a lot, you will be just fine.

Rooms are lovely and big. Warm and comfortable.

Restaurants are excellent. The buffet is vast and superb. Haven't tried booking yet for the speciality restaurant.

Bar area is superb. Service excellent. Choice plentiful and entertainment is a bit 'European' but lively. Shout out to the bar staff, especially Henri.

Ski shop is so convenient. On site and easy... ski hire kit was already in our locker when we arrived! Thomas and Nicholas, cheers 🍻

Ski school for groups of adults is a bit pick and mix. Day 1 was chaos! But we met interesting people and it was very sociable. Instructor Ricardo tried to keep us in order and did a fantastic job and is excellent.
Tip for those not used to this place is, if you get accommodation a good distance from the central zone, and it's snowing or raining, you will need good walking gear and a hat. Don't try this in heels and fancy dress!!

If you as unsure, just go for it. This is my first trip with club med. I think without doubt, I will return. I cannot comment on childcare etc.

Skiing is fine. Snow falling this week so coming weeks will be even better.

I had a blast in Club Med Pragelato. I enjoyed snowboarding with the group and the Maestro Michele Marta. Very friendly guy, very experienced, he can correct mistakes with details that only a guy that really understands the underlying of the problem can, I as impressed. I have learned more with him in 1 week than I did ever before in years of snowboarding. I appreciate specially his patience and personal experience when explaining the technicals to us, superb. And he really wanted to take us to France to experience the local cuisine and enjoy the way there snowboarding. I'm sure would have been a great experience, but the weather didn't allow for it, unfortunately.

In the resort I was also happy, specially with the food in the Buffet! In general, the staff is very nice and helpful, I have to mention Lucie (aka Lucie Croissant) for making sure we were being taken cared of, helping us with small issues, helping me return my forgotten gloves, always with a smile and good mood to offer. I also remember Malik as a very nice and helpful guy, which added to the overall great experience.
We also enjoyed the really cool stretching classes with Prof Masalia, it was perfect to start the day that way before hitting the slopes.
The animation in the theatre was also a very nice way to end the day, every day a different theme, we really appreciated that, and again, the staff was mostly wonderful, apart from some not so friendly or patient guys.

Some points to consider improvement. The air gets very dry at night, making it difficult to sleep, some friends bled from their noses in the morning because of that. I think Club Med could provide humidifiers for the rooms because if you are doing sports the whole day and can't sleep properly at night, it will impact on your experience while staying there.
Also, the WhatsApp could be more helpful and just connect to a real human. I tried to add a ride from Torino to Plagerato and didn't work, and when called the staff was unable to help me, I was told I couldn't take the transfer any more because there was no space, and my friends told me that there was a lot of space on that bus, so clearly a miscommunication there.
Another last point is the reservation in restaurants, felt unnecessary and, in my opinion, the food from the buffet was the same quality, if not better at times.

Overall, an excellent experience, was really remarkable I must say. I want to experience it again, maybe somewhere else where there is Club Med :)

Had an incredible time at Club Med Pragelato! The resort is stunning, with amazing ski slopes and top-notch facilities. A huge thank you to Lucie for her excellent communication, keeping us updated on all the daily events and activities. We also want to shout out the fantastic reception team and the talented cooks—everyone was so welcoming and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this resort for anyone looking for a memorable ski holiday!
