Punta Cana Dominican Republic

Visited Punta Cana Club Med on a spontaneous trip. In our group were two boys (10 and 11), me (41), and my parents (67 and 72), all in two rooms. We had only visited Cancun Club Med (which was absolutely loved) prior, so we had an idea of the pace and offerings at each location. Going in the off-rainy season is always a risk; the restaurants rotated nightly, which made the food hit-or-miss, but the service was never a hindrance. Everyone spoke English, Spanish, and French which was incredibly impressive considering my massage therapist was from Morocco! In our building (very close to the water park), we had guests on either side of our room, and we never heard them at all. It was at times a long walk going from the far end of the resort to the other end, but we had a very slow pace anyway. The resort was extremely clean and well cared for, and we deeply appreciated that, during the rainstorms around dinner time, cars were available to shuttle you (you had to call in advance), which was very helpful on elegant nights when you didn't want to get drenched. The kids did not participate in the kids club but took advantage of the amazing foam party, archery, the main pool and water slides, and kayaking. As a mom on a limited budget, we loved the no-tipping resort, and except for check-in with our luggage, we did not feel any pressure to tip. Nonetheless, it certainly aided our experience. Additionally, we took advantage of the spa. This was the absolute highlight of our trip, as they offered children's massages. The prices were excellent and even better than spas at home, but it was the service at the spa that stood out. From haircuts for the boys to children's and adult massages, facials for me (mom), and pedicures for all five of us, the spa went out of its way to accommodate us and make us feel comfortable. It was absolutely the best part of the trip, and I have yet to experience service with this level of hospitality on cruises or other vacation destinations. Another unique feature of Club Med was that the employees ate with the guests. We were able to make connections with two employees in particular who really made us feel welcome. One, Ana, who was my father's massage therapist in particular, joined us for dinner on more than one occasion, and my oldest (neurodivergent) really bonded with her so much that they played chess together twice, AND he learned some Spanish from her. No amount of money could match the care and happiness he felt and still talks about. I highly recommend Punta Cana, even in the off-season, especially the spa for families, and I felt the price was appropriately valued.

Just finished a family vacation at Club Med Punta Cana. We enjoyed our time there thanks to the staff and the facilities. Everything felt clean, the food was well prepared and the options were outstanding. The Mini Club Med was a huge hit with our children, they had a lot of fun enjoying the activities provided by their staff. The only negative is that this time of the year the sea weed is hard to contained even though we saw staff working on it pretty much 24/7. That being said, we were able to enjoy time on the beach and all the other water facilities at the club. We are definitely planning on coming back.

You were great. Had fun with all the nice people and fun experiences and good tennis lessons. The food was excellent. The lessons were instructive. I would definitely return again. It’s a beautiful property with fun activities and great for the whole family

This was the best family trip we’ve ever had!! All our expectations were exceeded with the friendliness of the staff, the excellent food, incredibly clean and comfortable accommodations, and all the wonderful activities provided on site for our children. We had the pleasure of staying in the Tiara area and Cristel and her team made sure we had everything we needed. From the beautiful nightly cocktail hour to delicious breakfast being delivered to our porch each morning, the true bliss of this trip was we didn’t have to think about A THING! Everything was anticipated and met with an amazing standard. We cannot wait to return!!
