Michès Playa Esmeralda Dominican Republic

Wonderful resort - location, food, environment - we loved everything! The beach was gorgeous, the rooms comfortable, the employees were friendly and accommodating, and we had quality interactions regularly. For excursions we booked a sunset horseback ride and electric surfboard - I recommend both. The standout resort activity, however, was trapeze with the Circus Team (Joel, Mailys, Candela, Nacho, and Cooper). The entire team ensured my kids had a fun and successful (and safe) trapeze experience - going from zero experience to catch sessions while having a ton of fun! I am very grateful for the team's engaging instruction.

Beautiful, upscale resort with an amazing kids’ team

Club Med Michès is a stunning resort set in a beautiful, natural location. The setting feels exclusive, peaceful, and perfectly integrated with nature, making it a truly special destination.

The resort has a very upscale atmosphere, and the rooms are lovely comfortable, well-designed, and beautifully maintained.

A special mention goes to the Petit Club team (2-3 yo), who were absolutely great. They are caring and attentive, and they made our experience as parents even better by ensuring our child was happy and well looked after.
The CDV is everywhere make sure every moment is enjoyable.

Overall, Club Med Michès is a perfect blend of luxury, nature, and family-friendly service. We highly recommend it and would gladly return.

Giving Club Med a second chance turned out to be an excellent decision, and we truly had a wonderful holiday. The experience in Michès exceeded our expectations and genuinely helped restore our confidence in the brand.

I would especially like to highlight Iara Correia, who was absolutely exceptional in the way she welcomed us and looked after our family throughout the stay. Just to be very clear, our feedback has nothing to do with the fact that she is Portuguese — she was simply an outstanding host. Her professionalism, attention to detail, warmth, and constant availability made a real difference and set the tone for the entire experience.

We would also like to mention Yorran Alves from the water sports team, who was equally remarkable in his care, attention, and enthusiasm, always ensuring that every activity was both enjoyable and well looked after.

It was also very interesting for us to experience two resorts from the Exclusive Collection that are, in practice, quite different. While both Seychelles and Michès belong to the same collection, Michès felt much more cosy, relaxed, and family-oriented

This was our sixth trip to Miches and, as always, we had a fabulous time.

Theo has been a spectacular CdV for two years and has got the hotel running back to the same level as when Youssef was CdV, which I didn’t think would be possible. He will be really missed when he moves on at the end of the season. Theo has created a brilliant team and it has been wonderful to see the local GOs move up the ranks as well. All of the GOs made our stay great this year, in particular the mini club which is running brilliantly and both our children loved it (so much so that when I went to pick them up early, each time they wanted to stay!) I want to mention the below GOs for really standing out and helping us. Many of these guys know us from previous stays and they always make sure we have what they know we like in our room, and go above and beyond with our kids. I hope I haven’t forgotten anyone…

This was our third trip to this Club Med resort. We keep coming back because this Club Med has everything we want for a family beach vacation. We are a group of 18 people ages 15-86. The rooms are spacious, good linens, and very clean. The beach is beautiful. No seaweed which is often an issue at other beach locations. Tons to do. Tennis, pickleball, beach volleyball, water sports and fitness classes. This year I noticed there were many more classes especially yoga. The gym is an area that is lacking. It is very small. But the classes are solid. The pool is pretty. Food is great. Clean and lots of variety. Staff is excellent. Very responsive and always there to help. We love the relaxed, kind and fun atmosphere of Club Med resort. We will be back.
