Michès Playa Esmeralda Dominican Republic

Let me start by saying that this was our second trip to CM Michès. And even if the overall experience was not as amazing as our first visit, we are still interested in coming back.

The good:
The food, the beach, the whole resort, the activities, booze selection, the staff.

What we felt was not as good this time was room cleaning service, almost everyday we had to call the lobby to get towels or some days you could see that more or less effort was put into the room, even tho if we tipped everyday.
Don't get me wrong, the service and GO is still great to amazing but last year I felt that everyone was amazing and this year many were amazing but a few looked tired and not into it.

Anik at the front desk, always super helpful!
Nico at the watersports on the beach, he was an amazing teacher!
Louisa and Alphonsa at the main buffet, they were our favorite servers last year and again this year.
Marie and Kathy at the Coco plum, amazing service from them as well!
Séverine from the chill club, my daughter loved her!

Overall I would give 4.7 out of 5 in 2025 and 4.2 out of 5 in 2026

A great stay at Club Med is always about the perfect combination of location, weather, food, activities, and the GO team. At Michès, you get it all!

• The beach, décor, and bungalows are simply perfect.
• We had a few rain showers but overall plenty of sunshine.
• The food was excellent: varied, abundant, and always enjoyable, with a French or Asian touch.
• Congratulations to Harrison, the Village Chief, for his great management.

Special acknowledgement to his admirable deputy Paul: Very élégant, Paul is everywhere at the same time, always attentive, and on top of everything. Paul truly makes your stay so enjoyable. Merci encore Paul !

Also, a very special kudos to the Circus Team: Nacho, Joel, Candela, Kenzie, and Tammy. You guys are amazing on the trapeze and in the shows !

A fantastic team that truly made our stay memorable. Hopefully coming back to Michès soon!

Family camp meaning you could go-go-go the whole day with dozens of activities...or laze at the spa, salon, bar, pools/beach. So many included activities and not enough time! I ended up taking 3-4 yoga/fitness classes a day. I didn't have closed shoes at hand, so I missed out on archery. I got too sunburned to try trapeze but my almost 12 yo did and did a knee hang on his first try! (as many kids do). Even without the excursions, there are so many ways to keep busy, even at the beach (SUP, kayak, snorkeling, aquacise...). Outdoor basketball, tennis, pickleball, soccer, minigolf, kids' water-slides. There was definitely an eco-friendly approach throughout the resort and it was just the right size to get around without being overwhelming. S/O to the best yoga/fitness GO's Amy/Aimee? (Canada) and Marie (France). I didn't get to take any dance classes but the few lessons I passed by looked so fun. It was like an exceptional cruise, but grounded, and with spacious bedrooms/bathrooms. So impressed that all staff were conversant in a minimum of 2-4 languages, something I wish were the norm stateside. The only improvements I would make would be to include more DR breakfast options daily, and there was one laundry room on my side that had only a single washer and dryer (complimentary). My kids and I were so sad to leave after almost 7 days here. Especially after meeting several kids whose families were staying there for weeks on end. This was our first CM and we cannot wait to afford to go back!
