Mini Club is the true STAR OF THE RESORT.

5/55/5 • 23/10/2025

This was our 4th time at Club Med Cancun, and the Mini Club is genuinely the reason we keep coming back. It’s more than just a kids’ program, it feels like a place where our daughter is truly cared for, known, and filled with happiness every single day. We travel a lot and i can guarantee nothing compares.
Mia wakes up excited every morning because she knows the day will be packed with fun games, creative activities, adventures, and so much laughter. It’s non-stop joy for her from start to finish. The team doesn’t just supervise kids, they LOVE them, encourage them, and make them feel like they belong.
I wish I could list every single name because everyone is incredible. Pierre and Sammy made a big impression on Mia, but truly the whole team gives their heart and soul every day. You can see how much they genuinely care for the kids in the way they talk to them, play with them, cheer for them, and hug them goodbye! ❤️❤️❤️

One of the sweetest traditions is that on the last day, they leave heart-shaped notes for the children. Mia brought hers home and proudly stuck it on her bedroom wall. She keeps it as her little treasures 😭. When it was time to leave the resort, she cried and she never even cries when we leave her grandparents in Colombia or Moscow. This time she said, “When I grow up, I want to work in Mini Club like them.”
That says it all. 💕
If you are a parent wondering if your child will be happy here, I can say with complete honesty that the Mini Club is magic. 🪄 It’s warmth, care, joy, and memories that last long after the vacation is over. We are so grateful to this team, they are truly extraordinary human beings, and they make our holidays unforgettable every single time!!!!!

Third Trip to Club Med Cancun

5/55/5 • 23/10/2025

We took our third trip to Club Med Cancun and plan on going back next year! The Club Med team are really what makes the trip special. We especially love the Mini Club--our kids have a blast while we get a break! This last visit we also did the Tulum + cenote excursion with Ludo and Martin, who were amazing. Next time we go I plan to do another excursion with Ludo.

Incredible property with amazing food and drink!

5/55/5 • 23/10/2025

ClubMed Cancun was one of the first resorts in Cancun in the 70s. As a result they have the best beach and location in the entire zone. The resort is a city of activities with pools, beaches, sporting activities and restaurants to keep you engaged for a week+. The highlight with ClubMed is always the food and drink and this location did not disappoint.
We ate multiple times at all the restaurants with nothing but great experiences. Then of course is the service, and this is where once again the club shines. The G.O.s were amazing making the club a new experience each day and a big shout out to Jason and Joa for really taking care of us during our stay! We’ll be back!

Another wonderful experience at Club Med Cancun, the bar keeps getting raised!

5/55/5 • 22/10/2025

This was my fifth time at Club Med Cancun, and my third time travelling there solo. The quality remains exemplary, and I am so glad that I returned this year.

This year, I came as a Gold Tier member, meaning that I got a gift card to use in the gift shop, and that I had access to a special Great Members event in the Aguamarina area. I was welcomed by Susana in reception who is incredible at her job, and I was given an orientation and special cocktail by Andrea in guest services. He was very helpful and saw to it that any issues were fixed very promptly (my room key didn't work, but he arrived within 10 minutes to get my door unlocked). The staff in reception was all amazing, but I had a lot of interactions with Susana, Chrislove, Joa, and Alonso, who were all wonderful to talk to, personable, and had great stories.

I am always wary when travelling alone, but at Club Med, I always felt included. The GOs go out of their way to make you feel welcome and part of the Club Med family. The GOs who were at my last stay remembered me, and it was fantastic to catch up with them. It's like catching up with old friends. I had great conversations with Mimi and Jose Miguel in animation (they are both incredible and talented dancers, and both lead fantastic salsa and bachata classes). I had evening drinks and watched the shows with Jessica and Cybelle in the mini club, and with Chrislove and Susana from reception. Jessica and Cybelle are sweethearts and are amazing with children and hilarious to talk to as an adult!

In the activities department, I tried one of Samantha's zumba classes (she is so talented and funny - we had lunch together a few times), and last year, I had done Nelson's aquagym class (he runs amazing classes and he did a great job leading the beach party dancing [they call the dancing "Crazy Signs" at Club Med]). I honestly forget the name of who taught aquagym this year, but they were fabulous as well (so sorry I forgot your name!). I did archery with Mr. Pijama, who I didn't spend a lot of one on one time with, but he was incredibly patient and had a great sense of humour as an archery instructor.

The boutique staff is great as well. I had a lot of interactions with Syani and Kiliane, both in the store and at mealtime, and they are both authentic and funny women who were honest with their recommendations on a beach cover up.

I also took a lot of time to relax by the beach, which was beautiful. There was no shortage of beach chairs, so I never had to fight for a spot. I've been to this Club Med in both February and October, and I've never had a hard time finding a beach chair during either time of year. The water is gorgeous, warm, and you get to see fish, pelicans, and herons up close. I booked a massage as well. The spa was lovely and inviting, and the aromatherapy that the Massage Therapists use is amazing.

Just in terms of nature, the resort is located on a conservation lagoon, which meant that I got to see crocodiles and baby crocodiles! It was so cool to see these majestic animals up close (from a safe distance, of course!). Patricia, the large resort crocodile made a couple of appearances, and one of her babies was very outgoing and showed up around the main restaurant each morning.

The management had changed this year, but the interim Chef du Village, Jason, was spectacular. He patrolled the beach each day with Cassandra, the animation manager, and the sports manager (whose name I forgot to write down), but all 3 of them were lovely. They remembered each guest, and always led the Crazy Signs dancing with massive enthusiasm and energy. I met Jose Luis (the Chef du Village) in February, and he was incredibly nice as well.

The evening shows were also top-notch! The circus team is so talented. Silver and Remy were so friendly and I am only sad that I still don't have the guts to try the trapeze. Perhaps next time! Their new shows are bigger and better every time I visit, and the after show Crazy Signs and parties were so fun. I'll give a special shoutout to Hamza the bartender, who is now no longer at the resort, but he was kind, outgoing, and made fabulous cocktails. I can't really comment on the Mini Club activities, as I went solo, but I did check out the Mini Club show and it was adorable. Sender in Mini/Teen club was lovely and great to do Crazy Signs next to as well.

In terms of food and beverage, the food was amazing. The vegan options were delicious, and I did not have a bad meal while I was there. They had a ton of variety, such as Italian food, sushi, Moroccan food, Mexican food, French cuisine in the buffet restaurant, and steak in the a-la-carte restaurant. The desserts were creative and delicious as well!

The only negative aspect of this trip is that I bruised my knee bone on my second last day by falling on some wet tile, and bruising the area around my knee. Mony at the infirmary was attentive and helpful, and she even asked me later how I was doing at dinner. I was glad to get to know her, despite the circumstances! I was sad that I had to cancel my visit to Ek Balam the following day, but I will definitely go next time. Note: please take advantage of their excursions; the one that I did to Chitzen Itza and a cenote last year was sublime.

I will DEFINITELY be back, both as a solo traveller and with my mother who I do a mother/daughter getaway with each year. I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Cancun. Thank you for another fabulous stay!

Awesome excursion experience while staying at Club Med in Cancun.

My Tulum and Cenotes tour was absolutely incredible from start to finish! The day was perfectly organized by Anna at Club Med and filled with stunning sights, rich history, and unforgettable experiences. Tulum’s ancient ruins overlooking the turquoise Caribbean Sea are definitely worth seeing in person and our guide Ludo made the history come alive with fascinating insights about the Mayan culture.

After exploring the ruins, we headed to the cenotes, which were pure magic. Swimming in those crystal-clear waters surrounded by natural rock formations felt like stepping into another world. Everything was well-paced and perfectly timed to avoid crowds. I never felt rushed.

A huge shout-out to my amazing guide, Ludo. His knowledge and great sense of humor kept everyone engaged and smiling the entire time. He and our tour driver went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt comfortable and had the best experience possible.

If you’re visiting the Riviera Maya, don’t miss this tour! It’s the perfect combination of culture, nature, and adventure — and one of the best days I had in Mexico. Highly recommend!

Club Med Cancún

Located at the tip of the iconic Riviera Maya, the newly redesigned Club Med Cancún Yucatán is waiting to be discovered. Our magnificent resort offers an array of experiences and activities and direct access to ancient Mayan wonders.

The Club Med Cancún Yucatán all-inclusive resort sits right next to three sandy beaches, along the world’s second-largest coral reef. It’s the place to be if you want to explore, unwind, and immerse yourself in the culture and adventure of Mexico.

Palm trees in Cancun

A Bit About Cancún

A city in southeast Mexico on the northeast coast of the Yucatán Peninsula, Cancún is one of the most significant tourist destinations in Mexico. As one of Mexico’s easternmost points, the city is on the Caribbean Sea.

One thing to know about Cancún is that it’s a planned city, and it was created to foster tourism. Back in the 1970s when the area development first started, Isla Cancún only had three residents. All of them were caretakers of the coconut plantation of Don José de Jesús Lima Gutiérrez.

Since then, Cancún has seen a major transformation and it’s now one of the two most well-known resorts in Mexico, next to Acapulco.

The official language in Cancún is Spanish, although many people speak English as it’s a big tourist destination.

Since Cancún boasts a wonderfully long coastline, preserving it is in everyone’s interest. When packing, make sure to only take reef-safe sunblock with you.

Climate in Cancun

Cancun climate and cuisine

Cancún, Mexico has a tropical climate, or more specifically a tropical wet and dry climate. That means that the city is hot pretty much all year round. Also, the annual mean temperature is 27.1 °C.

Unlike inland areas of the Yucatán Peninsula, sea breeze restricts high temperatures from reaching 36 °C on most days. Not only that but thanks to Yucatán’s current continually bringing warm water from the south, the sea temperature is always warm. In the winter, the lows are typically around 26 °C, while in the summer highs are around 29 °C.

The rainy season lasts from May to late October. That’s when Cancún experiences high temperatures and humidity, along with intense summer thundershowers. The dry season runs from December through April.
Culture and Customs
Given Cancún’s popularity with younger crowds and college-age travellers, the city typically has a more casual dress code. Cancún’s nighttime establishments, like bars and clubs, often welcome a more relaxed atmosphere and appearance.

Cancun cuisine

When you book your Cancún holiday with Club Med, you’ll receive full-board gourmet cuisine included in your stay. However, if you want to branch out within the city, you’re sure to discover plenty of restaurants worth sampling.
Cancún has almost as many restaurants as hotels, so you should have no trouble finding something to your taste. One of the reasons for that is that the cuisine of Mexico is regarded as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity of Unesco.
For a taste of true, authentic Mexican cuisine, the cochinita pibil is one of the most famous dishes from the Yucatán cookbook. The combination of ancient Mayan spices, combined with pork marinated in achiote and sour orange, is simply addictive. That said, if you want more variety, you’ll easily find it in any number of international restaurants.

Chichen Itza

A Day Trip to Chichen Itza

Cancún is an incredibly thrilling and exciting destination with activities, excursions, and attractions galore.

A well-known archeological site and the 7th wonder of the world, Chichen Itza welcomes more than 2.5 million tourists each year. The sacred site was one of the greatest Mayan centres in the entire Yucatán peninsula. Throughout its nearly 1,000-year history, Chichen Itza represents a fusion of many different people. It’s open to tourists from Monday to Sunday, from 8 AM to 4 PM.

If you want to visit this magnificent site, you can do so through Club Med. A guide will travel with you, helping you navigate the wondrous attraction, and after (an included) lunch, you can swim in an open cenote and visit the colonial city of Valladolid.

Discover Coba

Another stunning site of Mayan culture that shouldn’t be missed is Coba. Located in the eastern part of the Yucatán Peninsula, it’s one of the few sites to retain its Mayan name; it translates to ruffled/uneven water.
The settlement dates to the Preclassic, which was around 350 BC – 250 CE. Coba contains many free-standing carved stone slabs, as well as many white stone roads that extend within and outside of the site.
To visit Coba and explore the Nohoch Mul pyramid, you can book an excursion with Club Med Cancún. After lunch, you can refresh yourself in a spectacular cenote on the Yucatán peninsula.

Tulum and Cenote

Tulum and Cenote

Tulum was the last great city the Mayans constructed and inhabited between the 13th and 15th centuries. It was a site of worship to the Great Descending God whose image you can still see within the temple walls.
Nowadays, numerous ancient structures remain, spread out over groomed lawns and oceanside cliffs. The Tulum ruins are open seven days a week from 8 AM to 5 PM, and they get around 2,000 visitors each day.
With Club Med, you can discover all that this wonderful city has to offer and explore the underground geological formation while swimming in the crystal-clear waters of a cavern.

Ancient Kingdom of Ek’Balam

The Ancient Kingdom of Ek’Balam

Ek’Balam is a Yucatec-Maya archeological site and it lies on the Northern Maya lowlands, 25 km north of Valladolid. It was a seat of a Mayan kingdom from the Preclassic until the Postclassic period.
As part of Ek’Balam, there are 45 structures, which include walls, a chapel, an oval palace, ballcourt, steam bath, and more. With Club Med, you can book an exciting excursion to the ancient kingdom, followed by a swim in a natural freshwater pool or cenote.
