Great Members, G.O, Chief of Village…these are terms you'll come across often and only at Club Med.
Here, we give you a rundown on the main terms you can expect to hear when you're in our resorts and what they mean.
Village is what we sometimes call our resorts because they're so private, safe, and intimate - and also due to the sense of community and family amongst our guests.
CHIEF OF VILLAGE
Is the resort manager who oversees the on-site team and day-to-day affairs of the resort.
The term 'G.M.' is loosely translated from the original French as 'Genteel Members' but we more commonly use the term 'Great Members' to refer to our guests.
